For some reason I started thinking today about mannequins in the press. There are a large amount of songs, movies, rock bands, videos…why is everyone so obsessed with mannequins!?

Below you will find a quick list I came up with..let me know if I may have forgotten anything!

-1987 movie “Mannequin” with Kim Cattrall & Andrew McCarthy.

-Katy Perry’s song “Mannequin”

-Britney Spears’ song “Mannequin” (lets give Brit a bit of credit, she did come up with this before Katy!

-Jacks Mannequin – the band that forever interrupts our company on the search engines. Maybe when they don’t perform in Vegas any longer we’ll get some ranking back!

-”FAME” the famous scene with Gene Anthony Ray (Leroy) in FAME (1982) He’s dancing with a mannequin.

-”Die Mannequin” the rock band (now who would want a mannequin to die? The thought of it makes me sad!

-the most annoying commercials in the world for “Old Navy” (Now I will retract my comment on the above, I think SOME certain mannequins must die! (Not naming any names!!)

-Ahhhh this has no mention of mannequins, but who just loved the song from the movie “Mannequin” – “Nothings Going to Stop us Now” Starship, I Heart You!

-the video game “SIlent Hill” where you can decapitate mannequins (yes, lets add the Old Navy mannequins to this game!)

-”Silence of the Lambs” remember he killer who had all the mannequin parts in his house/apartment? Creepy!

- the Merceded Benz commercial with mannequins is kind of cool!

-and a new one for me is the White Castle commercial when the guy knocks over all the mannequins when he runs to answer the phone! he he

Las Vegas Mannequins was able to help Swarovski showcase their famous showgirl dress from the movie Nine, starring Penelope Cruz, Nicole Kidman and Kate Hudson. This stunning dress was made from crystallized-Swarovski elements and had an estimated worth of over 80,000 dollars! A white glossy high end mannequin was a perfect fit to accentuated this amazing dress. Swaroski had used the dress to showcase their new exhibit at the HD Expo also received a “Best of Show Award” for their breathtaking design.

The Hard Rock Casino opened its new wing called the HRH Luxury Tower and needed some mannequin help for displaying their music memorabilia. Las Vegas Mannequins was able to facilitate the perfect size mannequins to fit their display cases and make them a success!

Las Vegas Mannequins helps out Simplism display their new technology for the 2010 CES show at the Las Vegas Convention Center.  This amazing Iphone application is able to turn your phone into a musical instrument. The guitar docking bay, charges your phone while you play and give better comfort and realism! It’s an amazing piece of software and machinery that every Iphone junkie would love to have.

Boston Celtics Mannequin

The best part about sports when living in Las Vegas is not the gambling but the fact LA is so close, we get all the Lakers VS Celtics games! We only have to drive a short four hours to see Allen, Garnett, and Pierce put a spanking on Kobe, hopefully, or it will be a long four hour drive back! The shamrock green dynasty of the past with greats like McHale, Parrish, Johnson and Bird deserved to be recognized and appreciated.

Mannequins In Iraq

Jay Piccinin is an Army MP currently stationed in Iraq. To his surprise he found some mannequins in a local shop. Lets just say they were not something you would see in the States! Thank you for the photo Jay and for thinking of us.
