HOW TO DRESS YOUR MANNEQUIN

HOW TO DRESS YOUR MANNEQUIN WITH EASE!
Below is a list of helpful hints and setup instructions for how to dress and undress your mannequin. This is important information if you are renting a mannequin because you will be liable for any mannequin damage.

If your mannequin is already assembled in your exhibit you will need to take it apart before you can add your clothing. Most mannequins have breaks at the arms, legs and waist.

ARMS: Most arms will need to be lifted up for removal. If your mannequin had a PIN in the shoulder it may have one side narrower then the other. Please pay attention to the thickness of the pin when trying to put the arms back on. You should be able to use light pressure to get them on. Shown in photos 1. 2. 3.

WAIST: The waist of the mannequin can either twist on or slip on the hips. Most mannequins need to be turned to a 90-degree angle before the waist can be removed. Shown in photos 4. 5. 6.

LEGS: Most mannequins come with one leg that is removed from the thigh. This portion of the leg is similar to the waist and can be removed by turning the leg 90-degrees. It is sometimes easier to remove the leg when trying to fit pants or jeans on the mannequin. Shown in photos 7. 8. 9.

STANDS & BASES: Most stands come with a single post. The single post slips into the hole in the sole of the mannequin. If the mannequin comes with a calf flange the flange slides into the hole that is in the ankle or calf area of the mannequin. Calf flanges are used on a mannequin to give the ability to wear shoes. Shown in photos 10. 11.

DRESS FORMS AND TORSOS: Most dress forms and torsos can be adjusted in height by a tension screw in the base of the mannequin. Please remember to not let the mannequin sit on the base without the tension screw tightened, or you may damage the inside of the form or torso. Show in photo 12.

BOXING AND REPACKING: If you have purchased your mannequins, please remember how they came out of the box. Every mannequin is packed differently so paying attention on how they came out will help when you repack them for shipping. Take note that most mannequin bases are in the bottom or sides of the box and should be placed first when repacking them.

Please remember if you're renting mannequins we will need them undressed when we come to pick them up.
